Winifred is not a fluent Italian speaker but she has a passion to learn and there are some fluent Italian speakers in the class who are a great help.
Winifred is using the busuu.com language programme as the basis of this class and the class is more ‘social learning’ then scholarly learning.
It has been suggested that later, when some way into the course, a video conference could be set up with a U3A group in Italy in order to practice speaking Italian.
