In later life, physical activity and overall health become much more closely linked. Lack of activity can lead to a weak heart, poor circulation, thinner bones, weaker muscles, more fat and less flexible joints.
Using a chair as a base for exercise is ideal for the older person who lacks mobility, balance or confidence.
It is surprising how effective these apparently simple exercises can be.
