The Annual General Meeting was held on Monday 14th March in the INF Hall. The usual business of the AGM was carried out including the election of a new executive committee. Mary Dynan spoke on the role of the Regional committee in promoting new U3A groups throughout Northern Ireland and she encouraged greater interaction among the various U3A groups. Marian Cully, representing the Southern Health & Social Care Trust, spoke of the value of social support and stimulating activities among the older age group and how they recognised and encouraged the work of Newry U3A. Pat Cunningham was re-elected as Chairperson for a second term.
